Please join us as we bless up our brand new Ecstatic Dance home at Greenwood Social Hall! This space is absolutely magical and I'm so excited that we have a new home to spread our wings as we grow. Greenwood was once a church back in the 1920's. It is located in a residential neighborhood (Westside North) with plently of street parking. Thank you to Calvin Arsenia ~ Director of Greenwood for opening up this community building space to Ecstatic Dance! It's so fitting that Clandestine will be DJing our first dance journey at Greenwood. He has been transmitting his sonic magic since the very beginning of it all in 2016 til now. Cannot wait to dance and celebrate with all of you!

History of Ecstatic Dance:
Ecstatic Dance (with it's roots in 5 rhythms) was birthed in Hawaii in the year 2000, and is now a world-wide movement found in almost every major city. It combines the freedom of a festival experience with the awareness of a conscious dance practice. The Ecstatic Dance guidelines are Universal guidelines. Although each Ecstatic Dance around the globe is unique, these guidelines connect the web of all Ecstatic Dances together as one.
Our Schedule Flow:
We open up with yoga to wake up and stretch our bodies followed by a two hour dance journey fascilitated by a professional DJ held in a safe space for you to express yourself freely and fully. We end things with a sound healing or meditation and closing circle. This is sacred space for you to be your unique authentic self in an open, loving, judgement-free container that celebrates you for being you!
Thank you with all my heart for your continued support. Ecstatic Dance has officially turned 8 YEARS OLD! How incredible. This community started out as a little seed that has been consistently tended to, watered and nourished by all of us as this is a co-creation. Our dance family keeps growing, evolving and thriving. It brings tears of joy to my eyes.
When Ecstatic Dance first found me back in 2008 ~ I had this instant feeling of coming home when I walked into Sweets ballroom in Oakland California. The fire was ignited within me and has burned bright ever since bringing blessing after blessing. The gifts of this practice and community have been onging and profound. It is my absolute joy and pleasure to share this magic as it has changed my life in truly countless positive ways. This is my welcome home to you. Home to your global Ecstatic Dance family, and home to yourself.
